The Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is India's most luxurious tourist train. It made its first journey in January 2009. The train is identical in route to the hugely popular Palace on Wheels, but what sets this train apart from any other luxury train in India is its unabashed lavishness.

Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Features:
According to the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation, the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels has been designed as an advanced version of the Palace on Wheels, with huge effort going into addressing suggestions made by tourists over the years. The train has two super deluxe suites and 13 deluxe cabins, along with two restaurant lounges, spa, and wireless internet. The interiors of the train really are stunning. The deluxe cabins come with names such as Emerald, Pearl, Ruby and Sapphire, and beautiful rich color schemes to match.
Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Route and Itinerary:
Departs Sundays at 6.30p.m. from Delhi and visits Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Bharatpur and Agra.
Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Journey Duration:
Seven nights. The train arrives back in Delhi early the following Sunday morning.
Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Cost:
A double deluxe saloon (twin share) costs $590 per person, per night. A super deluxe saloon (suite) costs $1,600 per saloon, per night. Rates include accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, entrance fees to monuments, and cultural entertainment. Service charges, alcohol, spa, and business facilities are additional. There is also a 2.58% service tax. An additional 10% is payable over Christmas/New Year.

The Royal Rajasthan on Wheels runs from September until the end of April each year. It stops during the very hot and monsoon months.
